BEHIND THE LENS (artist statement)

 My photography usually has been taking photos of people, from this class I have learned how to be creative when I don't have anyone to work with. Some of the assignments from this semester has made me really think about what angles and the correct lighting for my photos. This semester I think I have really grown as a photographer especially with using a film camera. With a film camera you aren't able to see the picture, therefore it's harder to tell the correct  lighting and if the object is correctly focused. ​

      At the beginning of the semester I was really nervous about this class because it wasn't using a digital camera like I was always used to. I was inspired to get into photography because of my grandma that works for my aunts photography business. I was also inspired by Kia Boundurant, she took my senior photos over the summer.
